I am a PhD candidate in survey methodology at the Methodology and Statistics department at Utrecht University. A major part of my PhD project “Push-to-app: Effective recruitment and retention in smart surveys” is to consolidate the existing knowledge about the novel data collection methods, and to obtain an in-depth understanding of participation and retention in smart(phone) surveys by means of a combination of quantitative and qualititative research (mixed-methods approach).

Currently I am also busy with rewriting my master thesis “Comparing MILC and tree-MILC for estimating and correcting multiple types of errors in combined datasets” in order to get it published. MILC modelling is a combination of Latent Class analysis and Multiple Imputation and is developed by Boeschoten et al. (2017) to estimate classification errors in Composite Survey-Register Data. I am interested in its performance on situations with multiple types of errors (e.g. measurement and selection errors).
